Kigurumi Orange

Hey! 👋

I'm a Kigurumi from the UK midlands, and I use a full face mask to allow me to portray a specific character very accurately, as well as to achieve the unusual proportions that most anime characters have. I can be found at various meets and conventions in the UK, and if you are here, you probably met me at a con. Nice to meet you! I refer those who meet me here as I do not talk in character, as my voice is muffled through the mask, and I wish to remain anonymous. Please feel free to look around, and find out more about me, kigurumi and the characters I perform:

What is Animegao Kigurumi?

Animegao Kigurumi, often called kigurumi or kig, is a cosplay style that originated in Japan, and spread to the west in the early 2000's. It is typified by performers wearing large full face masks and a hadatai skinsuit to accurately reproduce a character. The performers usually do not speak or unmask to ensure that the character is portrayed accurately, and to protect our identity. The masks are made by both hobbyists for personal use like myself, or by professional studios. The masks are typically constructed from a range of materials from FRP to PLA. The silent nature of the performance means that acting the character is very different from cosplay, where the performer can talk and use facial expressions. Instead, Kig's must use their whole body to express the character, leading to a different style of performance.

I perform these characters:
